After the blissful craziness of our own wedding celebration, we were able to enjoy Sean and Kelsey's nuptial weekend from the much more relaxed perspective of an already happily married couple! They said their vows along the banks of the McKenzie River at the lovely Loloma Lodge (a great place to stay if you are ever in the area!) Kelsey's green thumb took over the grounds, covering every stump and bare spot with luscious flowers and bright hanging baskets that draped down their mossy pillars. The isle was a humble trail that lead to a sweet riverside pagoda where they exchanged what were the most humorous vows I have yet to hear. For example: "I (Kelsey) promise to always love that thing you are when you wake up from a nap. I (Sean) promise to understand that when you say 'Ummm', there's probably nothing that will follow. I (Kelsey) understand that you physically can't hear me when sports center is on." It was a wonderfully honest and simply romantic ceremony followed by and evening of dining (the food was AMAZING!), dancing (they had a great band that played lots of groovin classics!), and a campfire sing-along that would make a girl scout blush! Thanks for the wonderful memories you guys! And congratulations to you on your new adventures together!
Oh, and for those of you who are wondering... we DID do a toast at their wedding. NO, it was not a song. And NO, it was not nearly as funny... but it did get a few chuckles and make a few waves!!
