Paradise Lost

Once the dust settled after Labor Day we took the family up to Lost Lake for one last hoorah before summer slipped by.  Buried deep in the foothills of Mount Hood, Lost Lake proved to be an amazing and rejuvenating retreat.  The lake was quiet with only the brief interruption of the occasional paddle breaking the water.  The campsites were exquisite and roomy.  The hiking was great for little legs and the views were fully transportive.  It was so nice to leave stress behind and just breath in the lake and the mountains for a few days.  For an extra treat, the Dabys were able to meet us out for an afternoon of family fun.  We later joined them in Portland for a night.  It was the best of both worlds!  And the perfect note for us to end our summer on!  We're already looking forward to a fabulous fall!
