With the unseasonably warm weather and the added difficulty of leaving the house... it didn't take long for cabin fever to set in. So once we were confident in our abilities we headed to Whistler's Bend to spend a night on the Umpqua River... in a yurt! Yurts are positively the best way to camp without many of the hassles and discomforts of really camping! So we packed up some bedding, some food, the camera, the dog, the kid and the baby and headed south! Norah is a big fan of camping, be it in a yurt or in a tent! She loved sleeping in the top bunk! There is, conveniently, a rather amazing disc golf course at the park as well as a playground and gorgeous riverfront! We topped it all off with a trip to the Wildlife Safari, where Norah got to commune with her wild cousins! It was a great trip and we pulled if off with style and finesse... if I do say so myself!
One cool dude!
Norah slept in the 'tower' and loved it!
Our humble abode for the night! (Eric met us out for a round of disc golf and helped us settle in!)
