After such a successful surprise trip for my Dad's birthday, we thought we would keep our trip to Wisconsin a secret from Nana Sue and Gimpa, who ended up being in on it, as we needed someone to clear the schedule for the weekend. Ben concocted a brilliant rouse in order to get Nana Sue and Gimpa to come to Fond du Lac for the night in the middle of the week... he said that there was a Sustainability Symposium in town and that he needed someone to watch the kids while he was there. Nana tried looking it up on line to no avail and interrogated Ben about the details, which Ben flawlessly provided. Mike and Conner, Ellen and Sam and Lily and Jack all came for the night too... yet Nana was not suspicious. We were all satisfied and surprised to pull one over on Nana Sue, who is, if you don't know already, the world's greatest detective.
