Tagged Interview!

I was recently tagged by the fabulous Miss B to do a little interview.  So here is a fun window into this moment in time.
What are you wearing now?   Likely something with an elastic waistband!

Do you nap a lot?   It's the key to my survival!

Who was the last person you hugged?   A redheaded papa bear

If you could have any super power, what would it be? Be able to speak any language--flying would be a close second

What is your favorite weather, and why?  Sunny, who doesn't love the sun after five months of mostly rain?!

What time do you usually get up?  which time?

What is your most challenging goal right now?  Finishing nursing school and being mom of the year, all while staying sane and having a blast.

Say Cheese!

It has been a busy busy month! Norah is growing so fast! She is smiling, giggling and learning how to talk. She's quite the conversatioalist; her favorite word is 'Ni!'...Monty Python would Knight her for sure! She's also tough to beat in a staring contest, especially if you play by blinkig rules!

I finished my winter term yesterday and am officially on spring break! The sun even came out to make it feel official! It is so nice to wake up and not have anywhere to go. It was a crazy term, but I made it and will be back for more come April.

We are celebrating spring break by taking a trip to the coast with our friends and fellow Wisconsinites, Tegan and Noah. I am certifiably stir crazy and can't wait to breath that salty sea air!
Auntie Becca is also going to be visiting over spring break! Norah is so excited to meet her Auntie. She's been practicing her smiles and coos to impress her!

We recently got to make a trip up to Portland to meet Norah's cousin Isabella who was visiting from Minneapolis. Isabella is a month older than Norah; it's so fun to watch her grow and imagine all the new tricks that Norah will learn in just a month! Scott and Miranda gave us some wonderful bilingual books that we have been reading to Norah. She is going to have a solid background in Spanish, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology in no time!

Greg has been working hard and is trying to pick up some extra hours over the break. He has also been succeeding in his other profession - Disc Golf. The winter OLE (Oregon Liquid Environment) Series ended last weekend and Greg took home second in the Pro division for the whole series! Way to bring in some extra diaper money honey! Norah was at the awards and was already being propositioned with disc golf dates!

And last, and least, Bishop is doing well adjusting to his role as second fiddle. He is getting a little thick around the middle, making it hard for him to keep up with Greg when the get out. Greg is working on building a new mountain bike that should help Bishop get back into shape this summer. (Thanks for the tax break Norah!)

Thanks for your patience as I wrapped up the term! I have been itching to share these photos!
Enjoy!

Gimpanana

Gimpa and Nanna Sue made their way to the balmy northwest for a first time visit with their second granddaughter.  They came, we ate, drank, played cards, disc golfed, beer fest-ed, Sarah and Greg went on a date, and Norah got more grandparently advice than she could shake her limbs at.

Here's gimpa giving Norah her daily calisthenics

Whachyou lookin' at

What do you mean I can't have a pony?!  Auralia has a pony!

One Month Old!!

Norah celebrated her first month of life yesterday!
And what a month it's been!  It's amazing how fast it goes.  She is getting good at eye contact and likes to stay awake and make fun little squeaks and coos.  We are having so much fun watching her grow up.  The other day she found her thumb twice in a row, almost like she realized that she has control over her little arms and hands.  I may regret getting excited about her sucking her thumb when she is four and can't break the habit (like her mom!), but for right now I simply can't help myself!
I am back at school full time and Greg is a shoe in for dad of the year!  He gets lots of good daddy time in while I'm at class and manages to rack up the 'Papa Point's' by staying on top of the dishes and even cleaning the toilet!  He is getting good practice for when Norah is in school by telling me to "stop messing around and do your homework".  It is a lot to balance, but we're still able to cram a lot of good times into our busy days.  Norah makes that easy.  Five minutes of watching her bright eyes take in the world around her and all the stress just melts away.  I'm too tired to be stressed anyway, I'm just overflowing, and it's all good!
Norah is getting excited to meet Gimpa and Nana Sue this week!  They are coming alll the way from Wisconsin!   We are looking forward to all of the parental insight, fabulous cooking and Euchre playing that comes with a visit from these two!

If it wasn't me and it wasn't you then who......Bishop!?!

Another almost smile!

There's always room for Bishop on the couch....according to him!
