Camping at Whistler's Bend

We took another family camping trip to Whistler's Bend this weekend.  Greg and Norah went early while I stayed home and studied for my boards.  We had a great time.  It was really hot so we spent a lot of time in the water (so I don't have too many photos!).  But here are some highlights.  Be sure to watch the video at the end, it's hilarious!

Potty Pooper!

Yesterday while I was giving Norah a bath she looked at me and said "Bup" (poop in Norah speak) and then gave a little squinty-eyed grimace.  There was nothing suspicious floating in the bath at this point so I quickly drew her out and placed her on her potty.  She took a minute to get used to the idea but with a little gentle persuasion she put a 'bup' in the potty!  We clapped and sang "Poo poo on the potty".  I was so proud.  So proud in fact that I had to restrain myself from photo documenting it, but I figure I'll spare you the details.

Norah got to visit Papa and Didi (Dad and Debby) for the Fourth of July.  We also got to visit our friends Mike and Robyn, and their kids Mary and Patrick who live conveniently close!  It sure felt like summer, the midwestern humidity drove us all into the kiddie pool.  Norah had a great time swinging on the 'Wee!', playing with Murphy (unfortunately for Murphy;), and taking walks around the neighborhood.  It was a great visit and we are looking forward to seeing them again next month for the big wedding celebration!
